Quality improvement techniques like FMEA, MSA, OEE and SPC can not be implemented if people don't have knowledge how to implement and apply the techniques. So training is an essential part of any implementation plan.


The following considerations are important when defining an in-house training program:
• The training should be in line with the implementation plan and should consist of logical steps spread out over a longer time period
• Training should be practical and what is learned should be applied as soon as possible.

Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)

MSA is a critical and essential step in every improvement program. During the MSA training course students learn:
• the theory
• how to conduct a MSA study
• how to solve the problems found during the study
• how to organize MSA studies in the organization

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

A lot of factors are influencing the implementation of SPC. Some factors are:

  • How committed is management to implement improvement techniques;
  • What is the knowledge level in the organization;
  • What is the time frame to implement;
  • How much time can be spend by key people;
  • What is the state of the process, measurement methods, quality techniques etc
  • Is current process control product- or process oriented
  • What is the potential profit of the implementation
  • What is the ICT structure (ERP, MES, Scada, PLC, OEE, SPC systems)
